The aquamanile became popular from around the 12th century. The early originals are mainly quite ordinary and basic. This item is made after a 12th century German original.
This aquamanile is completely handmade and no item is identical. It is the result of both archaeological and ceramic expertise and it fits well in the European art style of the 12th century. It is made of clay from the Rhineland. Its height is 20 cm and its diameter is approx. 20 cm.
