Around the 13th and 14th century it was a fashion trend to make ceramics as extravagant as possible. As a result of that cups like this were only used by the high aristocracy. The cup is a replica of a 13th century original from the Rhineland. It is completely handmade of clay from the Rhineland that was traded to The Netherlands, Germany and Italy around the Middle Ages. It measures 10 cm.
