13th century double cup

10(product tekst/content)

Around the 2nd half of the 13th century the trend to develop the most eccentric mugs, jugs and jars came into being. This cup is an example of this trend. Presumably objects like this were principally possessed by the aristocracy and well-to-do citizens.

This cup is made after a late 13th century original found in the Rhineland. The two cups are made one by the junction in the middle. The cup is completely functional.
It is made of clay from the Rhineland and its height is 8 cm.

This item is a museum replica.
