Product description

This helmet is a replica of a 14th century original found in Mongolia. The exceptionally strong helmet was presumably worn by the heavy cavalrymen of the army of the Golden Horde. The helmet is provided with a beautiful frontal plate, possibly a late development from the Roman sports helmet. The neck is protected by an iron lamellar armour and the upper side of the helmet can be decorated with horse hairs.

The helmet is suitable for a head circumference up to 62 cm, it has a thickness of 1,6 mm and is provided with a leather inlay and a chin strap. The helmet weighs 4,1 kg.

This item is produced in limited quantities only. This means that every piece is unique. Sizes & finish may vary lightly from piece to piece.
