Aquamanile Pingsdorf

10(product tekst/content)

This aquamanile is made after a 12th century original made in Pingsdorf. This aquamanile is part of a German-Dutch tradition where originals like this were made already from the early Middle Ages. This type of pottery is clearly recognizable by her light colour and red decoration. This pottery was probably exported throughout whole Europe.

This aquamanile is completely handmade and no item is identical. It is the result of both archaeological and ceramic expertise and it fits well in the European art style of the 12th century. It is made of clay from the Rhineland. Its height is approx. 11,5 cm and it has a diameter of approx. 11,5 cm.

This item is a museum replica.
