This pewter badge is a replica of 14th and 15th century badges that people wore who had undertaken a pilgrimage to Amiens, France. A piece of John the Baptist's skull is being kept in the cathedral of Amiens, which still attracts numbers of pilgrims from all over the world.
The pewter badge depicts John the Baptist's head, a priest uncovers his head. The badge is inscripted with the Latin words for: Here is the head of John the Baptist.
