Picenian leather shield and Novilara

Reconstruction made by the Italian archeologist Mauro Fiorentini.  Picenian culture (9th to 3rd Centuries b.C.).


Picenian leather shield and Novilara short sword: the short, single-edged, curved sword is very common during the early stages of the Picenian culture and is really effective for slashing. The leather shield is almost 1cm thick and very resistant.
