Swords like this were used in the 12th century. There are however very few historical images but several originals of this type were found at archaeological excavations.
This Single-handed sword has a length of 90 cm, with a blade of 72 cm and a cross-guard of 18 cm. It has blunt edges.

This sword is an Oakeshott type XI.

Suitable for re-enactment and martial arts. The blade is handmade and tempered, using traditional forging techniques. The razor sharp version is suitable for cutting tests. When using the sharpening service, the return right and warranty expires. The extra delivery time is approx. 2 weeks.

Tip: How to adjust the finish of your armour and weaponry
Luxurious (polished)- polish the steel with metal polish or toothpaste. You can even give the item a mirror-like polish. Test on a small surface first!
Handmade (matte)- soak the steel in cola for 40 minutes to 20 hours. Check regularly and treat with black sandpaper.
Antique (patinated) leave the steel to rust for some time in a damp environment, preferably outside. Remove the red layer of rust, to reveal the corroded top layer.
