Product description

Shields like this are developed from the types that are depicted on the Bayeux tapestry. The shields had a flatter upper side. Shields like this were used between the 12th and 13th century. They were used all over the Christian world during a.o. the Crusades.
This shield is made of plywood. It is covered with a layer of unpainted white linen so it can be painted the way you want. It measures 118 x 77 cm with an interior width of 58 cm and a curve radius of 22 cm.
