Product description
Cuirasses of this type were worn throughout Europe during the 16th century. The piece consists of a breastplate, a backplate and tassets. The tassets are constructed from several segments connected to one another, permitting extra freedom of movement.
The parts of the cuirass are joined to one another by means of leather straps.
The cuirass may be adjusted to the correct size and is well-suited to a chest circumference of up to 120 cm. Crafted from 1.6 mm thick steel, it weighs approximately 7.8 kg.
