Put on arm and pauldrons

Putting on your arm and pauldrons can sometimes be quite a challenge. When it comes to arm harness, there are a few different types of armor available. To protect the shoulders, there are pauldrons. For the rest of the arm, you can choose between full arm protection, only forearm protection (vambraces) or just elbow cops.

Full arm protection, vambraces and elbow cops all have the same way of putting them on. However, Pauldrons work a little differently.

How can you best put on your arm and pauldrons?

Putting on arm protection

Full arm protection consists of vambraces, elbow cops, and upper arm armor. If you feel that full arm armor is too much, you can also choose to wear only vambraces or elbow cops. All these parts of the arm protection can be put on by fastening them to your arms with straps and buckles.

If you are wearing full arm protection, the elbow cops must be applied last, as these need to overlap the upper arm and forearm pieces.

Putting on Pauldrons

Paudrons work partially the same as the other vambraces, as they also have straps that go around the arm. However, they must also be attached to a gorget or bevor. They can also be attached to some breastplates/armour, but not all.

A gorget/bevor usually has a belt and a buckle on each shoulder. These straps need to be closed in a loop with the opening facing sideways. You can loop the belt at the top of each shoulder bag through the loop on the collar/bevor and also close that belt with the buckle.
