Milanese sallet Wallace collection, 1.6 mm

Product description

The sallet is a replica of a 15th-century original, now held as part of the Wallace Collection in London. Sallets such as these were crafted in Milan and exported to all corners of Europe. The maximum inner circumference is 68 cm, excluding the chin strap assembly. The helmet is supplied with a liner and chin strap. Should you wish to wear additional padded lining, measure your head circumference whilst wearing it. The lined lining already attached to the inside of the helmet is usually sufficient. The chin strap assembly can be removed to allow more space within the helmet.

This article is produced in a limited edition. Every piece is unique. This permits sizes and finish to deviate slightly from one another.

Maintenance & Care
Prevent rust by oiling your armour regularly. If necessary, rust can be easily removed with black sandpaper.

Choose the best size
Do you wear a wambuis cap under your helmet? Then add 3.5 cm to your head circumference.
Are you wearing a mail hood under your helmet? Then add 2.5 cm to your head circumference.
When wearing both a wambuis cap and a mail hood under your helmet, 6 cm must be added to your head circumference.

When packing this article we only use 100% recycled plastic and recycled paper/cardboard extracted from FSC certified forests. We immediately reuse a large part of the material without the intervention of recycling process. Recycle the material by separating your waste.
1. Cardboard: separate or reuse paper.
2. Plastic cushions, clothing bags and plastic tape: separate or reuse plastic. Possibly pierce the cushions with a needle for volume reduction.
3. Paper packaging for jewellery and small items: have a plastic inner layer. Remove this, and then separate paper and plastic.
