Product description
The helmet is a replica of an Italic galea discovered at the Roman fort at Krefeld, Germany. It was probably worn between 70 and 150 AD. A similar helmet was also found in Mainz.
The cheek protectors of the original have been lost, and the reproduction has therefore been provided with cheek protectors derived from an original discovered in Worms. Crafted from steel and ornamented with brass decorations, the helmet is well-suited to head circumferences up to 60 cm and is dispatched with a cotton arming cap included for wearing comfort.
