The glass bead is a replica of a bead found during excavations in Bodarp, Skåne, Sweden. The bead was discovered alongside 8 other beads, 5 of the same type and 4 others. The original dates back to the Roman Iron Age / Migration Period. The bead is dark green with yellow and red patterns.
The bead is well-suited to reenactment, living history, and archaeology enthusiasts. With these beads, you can create your own Germanic Migration Period necklace. Mix & match them with other beads and pendants from our collection to create a distinctive piece of jewellery.
Germanic necklaces were crafted from various materials and served not only as decoration but also as a status symbol and spiritual object. They could contain unique elements and were closely connected to magic, rituals, and identity.
