Product description
This knee armor is a detailed reconstruction of a late medieval leg harness from the 15th century and consists of a purple of articulated plates that protect the lower leg from thigh to shin. The central knee cop, also known as a poleyn, forms the most striking part and gives the armor its characteristic late medieval appearance.
The leg harness is made from 1.6 mm steel. Above and below the knee, multiple articulated plates provide extra freedom of movement, while the knee cop itself offers sturdy protection. The plates are secured on the back with adjustable leather belt and brass buckle, so you can easily adjust the armor to size.
With its sleek, polished steel appearance, this knee armor combines well with other parts of a plate harness. It is a nice addition for re-enactment, living history and historical costumes. When determining the correct size, measure the circumference over your gambeson or clothing you wear underneath, as the armor is supplied as purple.
