Product description

The pugio was a Roman dagger, used as a secondary weapon alongside the gladius in battle. Additionally, it was a practical tool. Politicians also carried them as a symbol of their office, and it was with the pugio that Julius Caesar was assassinated. The pugiones featured a broad, leaf-shaped blade with a central ridge. Later pugiones were narrower and had a smaller central ridge.
