Product description
The throwing axe is crafted after various 9th and 10th century Scandinavian examples. This type of axe blade is characterised as a Petersen type L. The blade is the same as Type K. This type of axe may originally have been developed for woodworking and was in use from approximately 940 to 1200 AD.
It has a rosewood shaft. The axe is 33 cm long, has a blade of 10 cm and weighs approximately 0.3 kg.
The axe head is solidly forged. However, we cannot guarantee the quality of the shaft. We therefore recommend replacing it with an ash shaft should you wish to utilise this axe for axe throwing (available at almost any well-stocked hardware shop or DIY shop).
