The handmade wood carving is a replica of stone I by Stora Hammars. These 4 stones are located on the island of Gotland in Sweden and date from the 7th century. Stone I contains 6 images with mythological, religious and war scenes. From top to bottom, the scenes depict the following: a woman between 2 men, a sacrificial scene (possibly a human sacrifice as a blood eagle ritual) with a Valknut over an altar, a woman standing between a Viking ship with warriors and another group of warriors, and two war scenes with a large ship. Possibly this illustrates the legend of Hildr. This half-metre-high wood carving is a work of art that is well-suited to home decoration, a home altar, or to present as a gift. It may optionally be painted a different colour, or stained should you wish to place it outside.
