Product description

This type of shoes with a broad tip was popular around the 16th century in all classes of society. It was worn in a large variety and was even copied in the designs of armour from that era. Many layers of society couldn't afford new shoes and re-used shoes time and time again. Several shoes from for example the Museum of London show how they were repaired and adjusted to size regularly. This type of shoes was worn in the age of Henry VIII of England, the Spanish Armada, teh start of the 80 years war in the Nerhlands, by the German Landsknechts and during the battle of Pavia.
These are made of 3 mm thick pigs leather and have a hard leather sole.
