Product description
The doublet is based on 16th–17th century originals. Doublets of this kind have been worn since the Tudor era, at the time of the Spanish Armada, throughout the War of the Spanish Succession, and during the Pirate era. The garment protected the body from cold weather whilst permitting full freedom of movement in the arms, making it particularly well-suited to labourers and sailors. Crafted from 100% cotton, the doublet is available in the colours black, grey, and natural.
