Product description
This pendant is based on an image on a sword scabbard, found in an Alemannic row grave of two warriors in Gutenstein (Kreis Sigmaringen). The image shows a wolf warrior during an unspecified ritual act.
Wolf warriors, later known as úlfheðnar, are described in Old Norse sources as fierce warriors wrapped in wolf skins, devoted to Wodan/Odin. The tradition is associated with the Proto-Indo-European Koryos warrior ritual.
Solid and detailed cast from fine jewelery bronze - a striking piece of jewelery for lovers of Germanic warrior culture.
