The belt fitting is a replica of a set excavated in tomb 2 in Balingen. Belts of this type were worn by all Germanic tribes between the 5th and 6th century. Similar originals have been found in a large diversity.
The set comprises one belt buckle, one piece that was attached to the place where the belt buckle was fastened, one belt end, and one piece of fitting.
The set is handcrafted from brass and is well-suited to a belt with a width of 4 cm.
