Anglo-Saxon fibula Flintshire, silvered bronze

Product description

This one fibula is a replica of an Anglo-Saxon find from Flintshire, Wales, discovered in 2016 by a metal detector hobbyist and dating from the 8th-9th century. The cross-shaped motif with five spherical buttons and four broken animal figures is characteristic of this period, the same time when the major Viking raids on the British Isles took place.

Performed in silvered bronze, with a diameter of 7 cm, almost the same as the original. On the back there is a sturdy needle construction, suitable for sturdy woolen fabrics.

A nice addition to your equipment for reenactment from the early Middle Ages.
