Product description
The decorated Viking ear spoon is based upon a 9th–10th century original excavated from grave 660 in the Viking town of Birka. Ear spoons were cosmetic objects and are most frequently found amongst female graves. Women often carried tweezers with them as well. This ear spoon is decorated because it did not solely serve as a cosmetic object: it fulfilled decorative functions as well, and was worn on the belt as an ornament.
