Product description
Chain mail collars such as these were worn from the late 14th century, during the period when plate armor began to develop. The collar protects neck and shoulders and is a simple, versatile addition to a harness or haubergeon. This is a loose chainmail collar (standard) — it is not attached to a helmet, but worn loosely around the neck and shoulders.
The collar is made from steel, mixed, flat rings - round rivets, ring diameter 9 mm.
Suitable for re-enactment and HEMA, and can be combined with a bascinet or other helmet that does not itself have chain mail.
