Product description
The stater is a replica coin crafted after originals that were minted by the Celtic (Gaulish) tribe the Amori in Britain during the 1st century BC. Inspired by coins from the classical world, one side depicts a Celtic head. The hairs are combed back with chalk, whilst the face is possibly painted with spiral-shaped motives. The other side depicts a galloping horse in the style typical for the La Tène period. Constructed from leadless pewter.
