Product description
The pendant is a replica of a 1st century Roman fibula found in southern England. It is now held in the collection of the British Museum in London. Crafted in the Celtic La Tène art style, the pendant is fashioned in the shape of a stylised seahorse. Similar originals have been found in Gaul and were worn by the Gauls. The shapes featured in this piece of jewellery occur frequently in Celtic pottery and engravings from the Middle La Tène period.
