The chaperon has been made after several 14th and 15th century manuscripts, pen drawings and sculptures. Chaperons such as this were worn throughout feudal Europe, offering protection to the head, neck and shoulders from rain and cold. They were worn by people from all classes of society and both sexes.
The chaperon is crafted from cotton, features a medium length tip, and the bottom is flared. It has been manually dyed.
