The chaperon has been crafted after several 14th and 15th century manuscripts, pen drawings and sculptures. Chaperons of this type were worn throughout feudal Europe, offering protection to the head, neck and shoulders from rain and cold. They were worn by people from all classes in society and both sexes.
The chaperon is constructed from cotton, features a medium length tip, and the bottom is flared. This chaperon has been hand-dyed.
