Product description
The sword is crafted after several 15th-century hand-and-a-half swords. One of these models is nowadays part of the collection of the Musée de Cluny.
The sword has been developed by the makers of John Lee. Whilst sharp, it is well-suited to cutting tests, and blunt, it may be employed for intensive sword fighting. The sword is distinctive, and even the leather of the grip and scabbard is more akin to the expensive models of Valiant Armoury than to other models in its price range. The leather of the grip closely resembles that used for several originals.
The sword is dispatched blunt and weighs approximately 1.3 kg. The blade is constructed from 4310 carbon steel with a hardness of 53 HRC. The blade has a length of 92 cm and possesses good flexibility. The sword has a total length of 119 cm and a cross-guard with a width of 21 cm.
The sword is particularly well-suited to the re-enactor, collector, and sword fighting schools.
This sword is an Oakeshott type XVII.
