This oval end plate made of 256-layer damask steel is intended as a decorative end to a knife handle, or as an intermediate layer in the construction of the handle itself.
Already at knives From the Iron Age and the Middle Ages, metal end plates were used decoratively between the blade and the wooden handle. Thanks to the slightly oval shape, which fits well with most knife handles, this plate can be processed with little effort and only limited post-processing is required.
