Product description
These Slavic rings are a replica of various Early Medieval originals. Rings such as these were employed by the Slavic, Germanic, Frankish and Alamanic peoples to weave into the hair. These rings were found in, amongst other places, Germanic graves in southern Germany, and were worn well into the 12th century. The rings were often woven into the hair in pairs or even more at the temples — hence the name 'temple ring'. These rings constitute an early medieval form of hair decoration.
