Product description
The sword is based on a 13th century original, nowadays housed in the collection of the Royal Armouries in Leeds. Classified as an Oakeshott type XII, it was amongst the first swords to feature a blade suited to both stabbing and slashing. Swords of this type were employed across feudal Europe and worn throughout the era of the Crusades. Examples have been excavated widely across Europe and as far afield as Israel. Supplied complete with scabbard.
