Product description
The claymore is a replica of a 17th-century original that was used in the Scottish Highlands. It is now part of the collection of the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow. Claymore, or claidheamh-mór, literally means "large sword" in Gaelic. The blades of these large swords were typically crafted in Germany and exported to Scotland. The claymore was particularly effective as a weapon against pikes. The V-shaped cross-guard redirects the blows of pikes.
