Product description
The manica was a type of armour plate that protected the sword arm of the legionary or gladiator. From the 1st century AD they were worn by legionaries, and it was originally an armour plate for gladiators. The most famous use of the manica was during the Dacian wars, where they offered protection against the sickles of the Dacian warriors.
The arm protection is fastened by means of leather straps. Crafted from 1.2 mm thick carbon steel.
