Product description
Over the centuries, the drinking horn has been employed by different peoples as a cup during ceremonies and celebrations. Its use is even mentioned in the Edda. The horn is particularly well-suited to Viking reenactment, home décor, LARP, and makes a wonderful gift. It is also well-suited to festivals. Crafted from buffalo horn and polished by hand, the drinking horn features a layer of varnish on the inside so that one may drink directly from it. It comes with a metal stand with which it may be placed on the table. The horn is engraved with a Valknut — a motif consisting of three triangles that appears on a number of objects associated with Germanic peoples. Its meaning is not certain, but it is thought to symbolise Odin. Today it is a popular symbol amongst those who follow Paganism and Asatru.
