Product description

This elbow armor is modeled after several late 13th-century originals. Examples like this appeared in Europe from the late 13th century until the mid-15th century. Couters were among the first pieces of plate armor added to the suit of a medieval knight. They were usually worn over the hauberk and provided protection to these particularly vulnerable areas. Couters like these were already in widespread use by 1320.

The couters have a steel thickness of approximately 1.5 mm and feature a linen lining. They can be fastened with leather straps.
