The lamellar armour is based on remains of lamellae found in Sweden, in the historic Viking towns of Visby and Birka. Lamellar armour was employed from the early Middle Ages until the late Middle Ages and was especially popular amongst the Germanic people and the Vikings. Remains dating from around 1361 have also been excavated. The armour is constructed from steel lamellar plates that are sewn onto a solid brown leather base. The leather features beautiful authentic details, such as cross-stitches and lining of the edges with a thick leather thread. The armour protects the chest, shoulders, upper arms, abdomen, and back. The back section consists of a sturdy leather armour. The armour has six straps to adjust it to size, and is thus well-suited to almost all sizes.
