Product description
The tunic is based on early medieval images in illuminated manuscripts from the eighth and ninth centuries, such as the Stuttgart Psalterium. It is particularly well-suited to re-enacting and LARPing of the Great Migration, Merovingians and Franks. Manuscripts show that tunics from this period featured contrasting colours and coloured strips of fabric as decoration. The tunic has been designed as a reconstruction of this style.
The neckline is open and may thus be worn as-is or closed with a fibula. The sides of the tunic have a split, permitting comfortable movement whilst fighting and running. The tunic falls approximately to the knee.
