A corset like this was traditionally worn as shaping underwear. Whereas the corset was originally stiff and fully shaping, this specimen is less stiff and is intended to be worn visibly, for example over a blouse or dress.

The corset is made of velvet with a cotton lining, and the length seams are reinforced with boning that creates a feminine waist when tightened. It closes at the front with metal hooks, while the back is fitted with an elastic lace.

This corset is suitable for cosplay and LARP and can be easily combined with a blouse and skirt, or worn alone over a dress, for example as a pirate, shield maiden or noblewoman. Do not wash velvet in the washing machine; remove light stains carefully with a damp cloth in the direction of the nap.
