Product description
The medieval sword by Windlass Steelcrafts has been designed based on historical swords from 15th-century medieval France. Joinville was a French knight who took part in the Seventh Crusade, and was known for his courage and devotion to the king. History records that he employed a sword such as this as a lance to attack a Saracen in the Holy Land. Swords of this type were particularly popular in medieval France, where they were used in sword-and-shield combination. The grip is crafted from hardwood, whilst the sword as a whole is elegant and well-balanced. It is supplied complete with a leather scabbard. The semi-sharp blade is forged from tempered 1065 carbon steel with a hardness of 48–52 HRC. This is a well-suited decorative sword for lovers of medieval history, as well as for knight and medieval reenactment and cosplay of medieval films. Should the blade be blunted, it becomes a perfect battle-ready sword for sword fighting and a training sword for Historical European Martial Arts.
