Product description
The Frontier Hawk is a particularly well-suited axe for re-enactment and for modern use in bushcraft and logging, or for axe throwing. Axes of this type were employed from the Napoleonic Wars until the end of the nineteenth century. It is indispensable and exceptionally handy for Napoleonic and Wild West re-enactment groups. The pioneers of the American West in the nineteenth century always had an axe such as this to hand for wood chopping and for working on the timber of the house and stable. These axes could also be utilised as a weapon.
The axe is strong and durable, whilst also being lightweight and sitting well in the hand. Less strain is placed upon the limbs after chopping for a prolonged period of time. This is a well-functioning modern axe which, thanks to its historic appearance, is well-suited to use in re-enactment camps. And if you have no re-enactment event forthcoming, the axe may be put to use at home to chop wood for the fireplace.
