Product description
The gamurra was an Italian dress style popular among women in the fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries, also called camurra or zupa/zipa depending on the region. The garment consisted of a fitted bodice with a full skirt, worn over a chemise (camicia), and was usually worn unlined.
This version is supplied with a matching one blouse and is made of cotton. The gamurra could be worn loose at home or informally; in formal settings it was usually worn under an overgarment such as a giornea or cioppa.
