This scale armor is based on early medieval originals used by early medieval Germanic tribes such as the Lombards. Scale armor like this was also widely used in the Byzantine Empire such as by the cataphracts, Byzantine heavy cavalry. It is not inconceivable that this type of scale armor was also used by Vikings in the service of the Varengian guard via Byzantium. With these pictures you can make all types of scale armor parts yourself. This package contains approximately 100 plates, approximately 1kg of scale armor.
