Product description
The Germanic fibula is a replica of a 6th–7th century original excavated in Kent, England. Fibulae of this type were worn by the Germanic tribes throughout Europe, though they were especially popular amongst communities in the Rhine area. The original is now held as part of the collection of the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. Fibulae such as these were worn in pairs by Germanic peoples, including Merovingian and Anglo-Saxon women.Product details
