Product description
Helmets of this type were worn from the 5th century throughout Europe and Northern Africa. These helmets were worn by the Germanic tribes and examples have been found across a wide range of areas, from Spain and Northern Africa to Germany and the Balkans.
The helmet is crafted from 2 mm thick steel and is fitted with cheek flaps of the style that can still be observed on helmets until the 9th century. The nose piece is constructed from 3 mm thick steel for additional safety. The helmet is equipped with a chainmail neck protection and a leather inlay.
It is available in sizes M (for a head circumference of up to 61 cm) and L (for a head circumference of up to 64 cm).
