Product description
The dress is based on clothing fragments from the ninth and tenth century found at archaeological excavations in Birka, Skjoldehamm and Hedeby. It is particularly well-suited to re-enacting or LARPing a Viking girl.
This comfortable dress is crafted from sturdy cotton and is equally suitable to wear in early spring and autumn. A cotton belt is included. The dress consists of two contrasting colours, which creates a beautiful effect.
The finish of this dress looks completely historical. The skirt features an extra strip of fabric (gores) in the middle at the front and back. During the Middle Ages, these strips were sewn into the skirt so that it fell wide rather than straight down.
