The fiberglass core has been designed for use in creating your own LARP and Cosplay weapons, whilst still benefiting from the quality and safety of Epic Armoury.
How does one create a LARP weapon? Foam is cut in the shape of the desired design and glued around a sanded fiberglass core (the sanding permits the surface to take the glue more effectively). Sufficient foam must be left around the rod to ensure safety and sturdiness. Once the desired shape has been achieved, the weapon is dipped in latex and allowed to dry after each new coating, resulting in a smooth and protective surface.
Regular maintenance with silicone spray is recommended to prevent the weapon from drying out.
