Product description
This Viking axe is a replica of an axe head found in Rommunds (Gammelgarn, Gotland, Sweden) and dates from approximately 800 - 1099 AD. Today the original can be found in the Swedish Historiska museet in Stockholm. The replica has exactly the same size as the original axe head. The axe head is hand-forged from high quality carbon steel and features beautiful decorative elements. Axes were one of the most important objects for a Viking. They were both functional items and everyday tools used for chopping firewood and other tasks around the house. Axes were used by both men and women as tools around the house.
