Product description
The Viking jewel is a replica of an 11th-century jewel found in Gotland. The original was found in Domerarve in Gotland (Sweden) and is currently held within the collection of the Statens Historika Museet in Stockholm. Early medieval Scandinavians regularly employed mountain crystals in their jewellery. Unlike the original, the 'crystal' of this replica is crafted from glass, which has been hand-finished and is almost exactly like mountain crystal.
